We had a great time on last week’s editorial shoot! Lulu was along to co-style, with photographer Paul Trapani (one of SF’s best), make up/hair wizard Deborah Dapolito, and the always lovely Nida modeling.
A lil’ behind the scenes action:
I’m still working on figuring out iMovie enough to edit the video to my satisfaction, but we’ll hopefully have that up soon. It’ll be our very first Vlog, so stay tuned!

Although vintage is what really gets us excited around here, we’re stoked about this season’s new stock as well, and just got in some pretty great stuff.
First, one of our favorites — Anzevino + Florence:
A caped tee. What could be cooler?
Quilted bustle jacket.
The MOST comfortable/fab oversized shirt/dress, ever.
We’re also very proud to announce that we’re also now carrying Jeffrey Campbell shoes!
Feast your eyes…
Yes–zippers, and cutouts.
Every girl’s best friend, the hidden platform.
Mmm, pewter.
Rain boots in navy. Classic.
Expect to see these in the shop tomorrow!

Just a note to mention that our dear friend and style blogger extraordinaire Lulu Chang will be at the NGHQ on Friday. We’ll be co-styling an editorial shoot with everyone’s favorite model Nida and one of SF’s best photographers, Paul Trapani. We’ll be romping around in our massive vintage and new inventory, so expect some serious mayhem to ensue. Video/photos to come soon!

As you may have noticed, the store’s palette has become increasingly darker as the fall is turning to winter. Two things I’ve been lusting after this season are shaggy furs and deep, rich tones. I was floored when I recently came across a piece that combined the two. More on that later.
Shaggy fur is a trend that’s been big for a few seasons now, and is back at full force this year.
A few of my favorites:
Ann Demeulemeester
Dolce & Gabbana
Searching for vintage is a bit like searching for the holy grail, in that there is only so much out there, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. Because of this, every find is like a victory, and this coat was one serious victory. An oversized piece in forest green Mongolian Lamb fur, it’s got to be one of my all-time favorite finds ever. The color is so deep, it soaked up our studio light and forced me to adjust the exposure. If only I could pull it off…
